Today marks a very important day for Infostrada Sports. We have been acquired by U.S.-based Gracenote, a subsidiary of Tribune Media Company. With this acquisition, Infostrada Sports is now part of the world’s leading entertainment and sports data company.

Infostrada Sports, combined with the reach and sports coverage of recently acquired SportsDirect Inc., will form the foundation of the new Gracenote Sports business. Our deep knowledge and expertise of sports data, combined with Gracenote’s global footprint and powerful technology platform, will enable us to create new data-driven products and services to lead the growing sports data and entertainment markets. With the addition of SportsDirect data and services, we will expand our coverage to become a truly global sports data provider with additional access to more than 50 leagues and 2,000 teams across North America, Europe and Asia.

We are excited about the possibilities of bringing together Infostrada Sports’ world-class data and intelligence products with Gracenote’s proven technology and data platform to support our customers anywhere in the world.
The acquisition will also provide opportunities for deeper collaboration with Tribune Media, one of America’s most iconic and respected media companies. Tribune Media, Gracenote’s parent company, runs one of the largest independent TV station groups in the U.S. consisting of 42 local stations, reaching more than 50 million U.S. households.
